December 14, Wednesday......Prayer Needed

Little Kailey's day yesterday did not get better. She ran a fever throughout Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning early, the decision was made to put Kailey into intensive care. At first, the medical staff could not determine the cause of the fever, but finally bacteria showed in a blood sample. While that is not good news, it at least gave a reason for the high fever. They did perform a spinal tap to make sure there nothing questionable in the spinal fluid. Praise God it came back clear. The fever continued throughout the day Wednesday. Then, Wednesday night, stomach problems developed, so it was truly not a good night for the little one. As of this (Thursday) morning, Kailey seems to be resting comfortably and there might be a slight improvement, but it is too early to truly tell. As Kailey sleeps, it is a peaceful sleep. She will barely open her eyes from time to time, look around and then drift back to sleep. We know with the fever and stomach problems, her little body is just worn out.

Several of you like to be updated throughout the day, so if there are changes, we will try to update the blogspot at lunch.

Prayer is the one and only thing little Kailey needs right now from all of us. She is receiving excellant care at an excellant facility. We are so blessed. Grandma Tucker is at the hospital to help so everything that can be done is being done. Lift Kailey up to our Lord. He is truly caring for this little one as she sleeps. Pray Kailey is resting comfortably. Pray whatever bacteria in her system will be treated successfully and quickly. Pray for Kailey's medical team as they closely watch her. Pray they will clearly see God's direction in her treatment. Pray Kailey will be a witness to all those who are following her journey. Pray with a thankful heart for all the blessings being poured out on this little one. Pray without ceasing!
