Kailey had another wonderful day and it was the last day of chemo for round one. She looks great and feels good. Dr. Mogul is so pleased with her counts and how well she is responding to the chemo so far.

Starting today, Kailey will not be "tied" to a machine all the time. That will be so wonderful for her. She does have a four hour pass but has decided she wants to go home on Saturday morning to spend time with her family...in her house. There is no place like home. Kailey has also been given permission to walk outside the hospital and get some fresh air. Besides the "outside" playground, she has not been outside for two weeks.

If you plan to visit Kailey, it would be best if you call the hospital ahead of time and make sure we know you are coming. And it would be best if you speak directly to the person who is at the hospital with Kailey so there will not be any miscommunications.

Right now, Kailey has everything she needs. She definitely has all the stuffed animals a girl could want!!! We don't know what her needs will be in the future, but we will sure let you know if one develops. You all have been so very, very kind to Kailey.

We continue to ask for your prayers for little Kailey. We are in a waiting game now. Kailey is scheduled to begin chemo again around mid-October, but there are a lot of variables. We pray she will respond well to this round of chemo!!! Pray for little Kailey and the medical staff who work with her. Pray there are no side effects from the chemo. Pray that we bring glory to the Lord and we seek His will as we go through this journey!!!
